The wind howled through the sails, and the storm lashed against the decks of the pirate brig Crimson Horizon. At the helm stood Captain Silas Blackthorne, his single black eye fixed on the raging sea. His scarred hand gripped the wheel like it was part of his body.
“Hold fast, you sea-dogs!” he bellowed as towering waves crashed across the bow.
Amid the chaos, a silhouette appeared on the horizon: a Spanish galleon, heavy with gold and treasure. To Blackthorne and his crew, this was not just a ship—it was fortune, glory, and rum waiting to be seized.
⚔️ The Boarding
When the storm eased, the brig drew alongside the galleon. Grappling hooks flew, ropes snapped taut, and the pirates swarmed across the gap, roaring with cutlasses raised. Steel clashed against steel, pistols thundered, and the air filled with smoke and screams.
Young Finn O’Malley, the newest deckhand, found himself face-to-face with the Spanish captain. Fear gripped his heart, but before the blade could fall, old Bosun Briggs hurled a powder keg into the officer, knocking him flat.

Victory was swift, and the hold of the galleon revealed riches beyond belief: silver, jewels, barrels of wine. But in the farthest corner sat a black chest, bound in iron with three heavy locks. Strange symbols were carved into its surface—symbols that seemed to glow in the torchlight.
“That’s no ordinary chest,” Briggs whispered. “It’s the Ark of Tempests. Poseidon’s curse himself.”
Blackthorne laughed, though unease flickered in his eye. “A curse or not, it’s ours now.”

The next day, though the skies were clear, a phantom gale swept the ocean. The sea roared as if alive, tossing the Crimson Horizon like a toy. Some swore they heard voices rising from the chest—voices offering gold, power, and eternal glory.
Finn lay awake in his hammock, listening to the whispers. And Captain Blackthorne stood at the chest, torn between two choices: cast it into the deep… or unlock its secret.
